Customizing Standard Modules

Learn how to organize module tabs and customize their display names while preserving the underlying module identity.

Customizing Standard Modules

Standard modules can be presented in a way that better matches how your organization works while preserving their underlying application identity.

Organize Tabs

Use Organize Tabs to control how supported modules appear in application navigation.

The page separates displayed and hidden tabs so administrators can control which modules are readily available to users.

Displayed tabs can be reordered using the available drag handle. After arranging the modules in the required sequence, save the tab order.

Hiding or reordering a tab changes navigation presentation. It does not delete the module or its records.

Some required application areas may not be eligible to be hidden.

Rename Tabs

Use Rename Tabs to customize the display name shown to users for supported modules.

Move to the module that needs a different user-facing label, use its edit action, and enter the required display name.

Choose names that are clear, concise, and consistent with terminology used by your organization.

Display name versus module identity

Renaming a tab changes its presentation to users.

It does not change the module's underlying API key, module key, routes, stored records, or technical identity.

This distinction allows organizations to use familiar business terminology without breaking application contracts or integrations.

Navigation consistency

Use tab ordering and display names consistently across the application.

Frequently used modules should be easy to locate, and renamed tabs should remain understandable to agents and administrators.

Before making broad naming changes, consider whether training material, internal documentation, automation descriptions, or operating procedures refer to the current display names.

Related configuration

Organize Tabs controls navigation order and visibility.

Rename Tabs controls user-facing labels.

Other module behavior—such as fields, layouts, permissions, relationships, automation, and reporting—is configured through the appropriate module settings.
