Tenant Data Isolation
Tenant Data Isolation
Tenant data isolation ensures that one Helpdesk tenant cannot access another tenant's private application data.
Tenant boundary
Each request must resolve the correct tenant before tenant-specific data is accessed.
Database isolation
Tenant-aware operations must use the database or storage context belonging to the resolved tenant.
No hard-coded tenant assumptions
Application logic should not depend on a specific tenant code, hostname, database name, or table prefix when the feature is intended to work for multiple tenants.
Authorization still applies
Tenant isolation does not replace user authorization.
A user inside the correct tenant must still have permission to access the requested record.
Shared product content
Global Helpdesk product documentation is different from tenant customer data and should remain in its dedicated shared product-content plane.
Good practices
Test current tenants and future-tenant-safe paths. Fail closed when tenant identity cannot be resolved reliably.
